Featured speaker Rev. Charlotte London Bear
Rev. Charlotte Bear
Rev. Charlotte Bear is a spiritual leader, healthcare chaplain, former broadcast journalist, climate activist, wife, mother and US Army veteran. She is an Elder in the United Methodist Church, Cal-Nev. Conference, and has served in ministry for 23 years. She lives in Ben Lomond in the coastal redwoods with her husband, a Chaplain, and with her son and rescue dogs. Bear has devoted her life to helping people, rescuing dogs and protecting the natural world. In 2016 she was accepted into the Climate Reality Corp, a worldwide network of Climate leaders. Since then, Bear has completed over 300 acts of Leadership promoting bold climate action and mentoring other Climate Reality Leaders. She is a certified Eco-Chaplain as well and is currently the Co-Chair of the large Silicon Valley Chapter of the Climate Reality Project.
About our topic: Char says, “We’re living in a time of reckoning about how we’ve been treating each other, other species and the planet, our shared, sacred home. Women are leading the way, morally, scientifically, politically, with community building and activism. We are focused on solutions that not only mitigate but that can repair, restore, regenerate. That’s transformative hope.”
